Twilight!

So when we drove from Portland to Seattle, we noticed a big sign on a side of a building saying...Kalama...official filming location for Twilight. I of course was like what...we are definitely stopping there on the way back. Suzie also saw it when Dad went to pick her up in Portland as well. So on the way back to Portland, the whole family stopped in this small town about 30 minutes outside Portland. its claim to fame in the Twilight movie is that it uses the high school parking lot as the parking lot in the film where Bella and the Cullans go to school. The famous scene where Edward saves Bella's life from the runaway van is in that parking lot. We sure did look like a bunch of losers taking pictures in the parking lot especially since school was still in session there. As Suize said..."I think I still smell Edward!"

One of the main reasons we went up to the Northwest was to see my cousin Linzy graduate high school. Her family threw a big party for her and it was such a fun time. It is very rare for most of us to be in the same room. We may go years without seeing each other but it always feels like it was yesterday. Linz we know you will do awesome at Central! Thanks again Auntie Ruth and Nana for letting us stay with you and thanks Laurie and Gary for throwing a great party!
