Our First Wedding Gift!

our china that we picked out! i love the cute paisley pattern on it.

The main dish and the salad dish.

So we received our first wedding present today(can you believe its one month today woohoo) Anyways its from my family that lives in Washington(all 12 of them...My grandma Nana, Aunt Ruth, cousins Jimmy, Debbie, Gary, Laurie, Robert, Janelle and kids) It is gorgeous...I can't wait to use it for a special occasion or really nice meal I may cook for the Mike...you never know. Thank you so much guys...I can't wait to see you in a month..get ready to party!

Creative Side!

So I decorated these really cute letters for the wedding. They are pink and brown (with a little ivory thrown in) I thought they turned out cute. It was hard not to make the M girly since thats Mike's letter. These are going on the guest book table for the night. Then we will put them up in the house somewhere.

Bridal Shower

the setup

heather, me and dana (2 of my bridesmaids)

me and my lil sis suzie who is my maid of honor

mom and me

So this weekend I had my bridal shower which was a lot of fun. My mom came out from SC, the Szoka's came out from P-town and everyone that couldn't make it was surely missed. It was out at my friend Dana's house who is one of my bridesmaids. She, my sister, Heather and Janet did an amazing job with the setup (thanks again girls love ya). We played two games...what age is Angela(different pics throughout my life and had to guess the age which was so funny) and how well do you know me questionaire. All in all it was a blast and had so much fun. The Big Day is almost here and I cannot wait only a month left!

Tom Petty Concert

Mike's friend JR has a suite at the arena here through his work and will get tickets for some of the events like hockey games and concerts. We got to go to a hockey game back in March with him and his wife Sammie which was too fun of a time for me especially(free alchcol is not good). Anyways he asked us to go to the Tom Petty concert on Wednesday with them and who could refuse! We had a great time...great music...great time people watching. We have already put our requests in for the next concert (coldplay is the front winner we'll have to see)

The Olympics

So I wanted to get off the talking about wedding stuff train and talk about something else...I have faithfully been watching the Olympics. I love it...I watched Michael Phelps win every gold medal. Fell in love with his mom and sisters who were at every meet and crying their eyes. (Her face when he won the 200m butterfly was priceless)Cried when the South Korean swimmer who in the last olympics was DQed for a false start at the age of 14 and then won the gold in this olympics. Watched Dara Torres at the age of 41 get a silver medal in the 50 free. Watched the girls gymastics and totally feel that those Chinese girls are not 15/16 no way. Felt heartbroken for Nastia Luikin for getting the silver on her event(the uneven bars) and was so happy that Shawn Johnson won gold on the beam(dude she does some amazing stuff on a 4 inch wide beam...stuff I would never attempt). I have watched every Kerri Walsh and Misti May match and love how they play together...they are awesome. P.S me and Susie think Ryan Lochete is a hottie! GO USA!

July Update

So its been a while since I have updated this blog. I have had the last week off from work which has been really nice. My mom (JoAnn) has been in town to help me with a lot of wedding stuff. The day is almost here(70 days!) and getting closer everyday and I can't wait. I can't wait to be married to Mike and start our lives together. Anyways this week we made the invitations(no photo for that one...you'll have to wait til you get yours in the mail...that is if you are invited), we or mom really addressed the envelopes so they are ready to be mailed off. This first photo is a sneak peek of our monogram that is on everything that I have made...you'll have to wait til the big day to see all that fun stuff. They are super cute and very simple...love it.

We also made flower balls (with the help of the faboulous Auburn Jones..thanks for everything). I thought it was going to take like 2 days do make 6 of these things but I got them done in one afternoon..how stoked was I. I know for a fact that I do not want to see the inside of a JoAnn's or Michael's for a while...we have been there like 5 times this week...twice in one day when the lady forgot to give us our glue sticks(kind of needed to glue flowers on). Anyways loved how they turned out and here is a preview of one.

We also found my shoes and my mom found her shoes as well. We traveled all the way to upper Scottsdale to look at a Wedding store but passed a DSW on the way. It was like a completely different DSW that I normally go to here in Gilbert/Chandler. It was way huge and I found 3 pairs of shoes. It was very hard to choose from them but I made my choice and I love them. Not too tall and opened toe with a cute rhinestone buckle on the side.
Well there you have it. I hope to update a little more frequently on this thing. Leave me a comment if you have any questions for me...love to hear from you.
